One of my more thoughtful sessions
Sexual trauma – not necessarily an every day topic for discussion, but an important issue nonetheless. In the U.S. alone, sexual violence occurs every 68 seconds – or put another way, on average there are almost 500,000 victims ages 12 and older each year. Ages 12-34 are the highest risk years for rape and sexual assault, and 1 in 6 women in the U.S. have been victims. Some staggering statistics.
Chloe has a masters degree in sexology and is a certified clinical aromatherapist, and is the founder of Aroma Sex Therapy, a platform dedicated to helping women with sexual trauma. A survivor of sexual trauma herself, she has written a book to help these women take back control over their sex lives and sexualities.
The images we shot for her website, LinkedIn profile, etc.. are designed to show her compassion, expertise, and confidence in herself and her work – it takes a tremendous amount of courage, insight, and resilience for victims to reach out for help. When they see Chloe’s image, it should provide them with a good feeling – that she’s someone who can help.
Her confidence and compassion comes through in this image of her – you feel she can help. And thank goodness there are people such as her who can help these victims.
